It is with great pleasure that I announce the inception of DARKLIGHT PUBLISHING LLC, established in New York City to disseminate the poetic work of Latin American and American authors. Translation and editing is in the capable hands of teams of poets from Mexico and the United States, ensuring that we will arrive at translations that closest approximate what the poet had in mind.
This worthy project will be realized through our publication of bilingual editions that will be available for purchase worldwide, both as printed books and downloaded digital files (e-books), for reading on most electronic devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc).
Our first title, In the fire of time (En el fuego del tiempo), by the talented Mexican poet María Ángeles Juárez Téllez, presented in bilingual format, is also the first of our BRIDGES poetry series and is available from now. Several other such publications, representing the fine work of poets in both countries, are currently “in the works”.
